Symantec releases e-discovery solution

Symantec releases e-discovery solution

7thAug. × ’07

Symantec has announced a new e-discovery initiative by rolling out products that will assist in the collection of electronically stored information. Unfortunately, these appear to be only for users of its Enterprise Vault solution. Still, it’s a nice change. Symantec claims that it will reduce the likelihood of system administrators having to testify as to the chain of evidence produced during the discovery process. This is because the software is intended to automate the process of data collection, versus having the administrators manually convert data for use by third party discovery vendors. For more on the release, check out the eWeek article here. Hopefully, other vendors will introduce similar solutions for other platforms.
