This week, Meta has apparently backtracked on its rules regarding interactions between minors and their chatbots. Also, thanks to some bad actors who like to scrape Reddit to train their AI models, Reddit had to stop allowing the Internet Archive from covering Reddit. Those AI firms were blocked from scraping Reddit, and so they turned to scraping that Reddit content from the Internet Archive, thus the ban now on the Internet Archive. Thanks, AI, for ruining things for the rest of us! Finally, net neutrality advocates will not appeal a recent case because they do not trust what the Supreme Court will do these days.
