This week, I liked Professor Goldman’s post about competitive keyword advertising in the 9th Circuit. The proprietor of an AI chatbot is being sued for allegedly causing the suicide of a teenager. Finally, I liked an article over Tesla and Warner Bros. being sued for unauthorized use of imagery from Blade Runner 2049, owned by Alcon Entertainment. Pro Tip – if six hours before your big event you’re trying to get permission, and don’t get it, then proceeding to use that content without permission is likely to be noticed.
I also wanted to link to a recent interview I did with Izolda Trakhtenberg on the Creative Solutions Podcast, “Protecting Your Creative Work: Expert Tips from Kevin Thompson.”
